If you Ask you Just Might Receive

My presentation for Florida Association for Community Action is right around the corner. The title: Left behind- Hush your Mouth will discuss how Non-profit Organziations can begin to explore the world of New Media. Keeping up with technology can be a real challenge for busy professionals.
I needed to find a way to visually describe how Social Media can bring traffic to their websites. Because I pride myself on my ability to create presentations that don't cause folks to fall asleep, I'm using lots of photos.
I discovered the perfect picture. It was just want I wanted and needed. Julie Walton Shaver, a professional photographer took this amazing picture. The gentleman, Bob is actually the crossing guard for Julie's children. She describes Bob as the Best Crossing Guard Ever.
When I asked Julie if I could use her photo her only requirement was she wanted to make sure this would be o.k. with Bob. It was. He said, "Anything I can do to bring people glory!"
Why do I actively particiapte in Social Media? The answer is simple. I find generous, talented folks who know the value of Giving and Receiving.
Thanks Julie!
