When an organization begins the process of designing their training series, they begin with a comprehensive Needs Assessment. An assessment includes some of the following questions:

What is the goal of the training/series?

Which topics will be covered?

How much time will be spent in class?

What is the budget?

How many people will be included in the training/series?

What form(s) of technology will be utilized?

How much previous knowledge do the participants have in the area that will be covered?

It's not an uncommon practice for some trainers/consultants to use "canned" or packaged training programs/curricula. Each program must be customized in order to give us the best results because each organization has its own unique culture, mission and needs.

I pride myself on learning about the organization, their people, concerns and strengths.
